O Globo Mais is the app that brings together the main newspapers and magazines from Grupo Globo into a single digital platform. The design challenge was clear: to transform the traditional editorial content reading experience into a modern, intuitive, and enjoyable digital product, while maintaining the prestige of the journalistic brands.
I worked as a Product Designer responsible for the end-to-end experience, from user research to interface design and prototyping. I collaborated closely with the product, technology, editorial, sales, call center, and marketing teams.
Despite the strength of the brands involved, the previous experience was fragmented — each publication had its own app and layout, which caused visual inconsistency and complexity for the user.
Our goal was to create a unified, seamless, and reader-centered experience, without losing the editorial DNA of each title.
• Improve reading comfort and legibility;
• Create a unified editorial design system;
• Increase user engagement and retention;
• Design a scalable and modular information architecture;
• Refine microinteractions and usability;
• An increase of over 35% in average reading time per session in the first 3 months after the redesign.
• Significant reduction in navigation complaints and visual bugs in app stores.
• Positive feedback from subscribers regarding clarity, fluidity, and reading pleasure.
• Solid foundation of components and guidelines for future product evolutions.
This project reinforced the importance of finding a balance between editorial identity and product consistency. Designing a journalistic ecosystem requires sensitivity to translate tradition into a digital experience that inspires both trust and contemporaneity.
